Bethune College Merit List 2021: Check Admission Eligibility, Merit List Details
The College is the first women’s college in India. Placed at 181, Bidhan Sarani, Kolkata. This woman college is affiliated with the University of Kolkata. The college was founded in the year 1879. The purpose the admission in the college to 3 year Semester based B.A. (Hons.)/B.Sc. (Hons.) Degree Course for the session 2020-21 under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) of the University of Calcutta. The Bethune College also offers admission in various diploma courses. There are various undergraduate courses offer by these colleges like B.A, B.Com, etc. The admission process is merit-based. The official authority will release the online application form of Bethune College. Candidates can apply for the application form following dates. After successful completion of form submission, the merit list is released in different rounds. Candidates can check their names and other details in the merit list.
Note: Admission to the college is granted on the understanding that the student undertakes to conform in all respects to the rules and discipline of Bethune College and the University of Calcutta.
General Information and Requirement for Bethune College Admission 2021
- Only Female Candidates are eligible to take admission
- The candidates must be passed 12th or its equivalent for admission in BA/ B.Sc (Honours)
- Candidates who passed in Vocational Stream are not eligible to apply for Honours Courses.
- A candidate must have passed in English (full marks not being less than 100) in the previous qualifying examination to apply for B.A/ B.Sc. (Honours) Courses
- A candidate may apply for a maximum of four honours subjects. Separate applications must be submitted for each honours subject.
- The college does not offer any 3-year General Degree Course
- Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks of the BEST FOUR subjects (at least 100 marks paper). Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/ Studies will not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks.
- The Bethune college admission will be based on merit list.
- The seat reservation of Kota is available only for West Bengal candidates.
- No Hostel facility is available
