Eligibility Criteria for CHSL : 

Candidate must pass the 12th standard or equivalent exams from any recognized Board & University of India.

For data entry operator candidate must passed 12th exam in science stream with math as a subject from any recognized Board & University of India.

Age Limit:

  • The age limit of Combined Higher Secondary Level is 18-27 years on 01/08/2018.
  • The Date of Birth of the candidates as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate.
  • The candidate must not born before 02/08/1991 and must not later than 02/08/2000.

Application Fee & Mode of payment:

  • The fee of SSC CHSL exam is Rs. 100/ (One hundred rupees only) For General & OBC category of male candidates.
  • SC/ST/PH/OH/Ex & Female candidates of all categories are 0/ (Zero).
  • Candidate can pay their examination fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking and SBI challan.

Selection Procedure of CHSL Exam

The Combined Higher Secondary Level exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. In this exam there are three phases. The CHSL Tier–I examination will be an objective type exam, the Tier-II examination of SSC CHSL will be a descriptive type exam and the Tier-III exam of CHSL will be a Skill Test/Typing Test exam.

The SSC CHSL Tier – I examination will be based on online mode that will be an objective type (multiple choice questions). In the exam of SSC CHSL there are hundred questions from four subjects.

  • English Language
  • General Intelligence
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)
  • General Awareness

Each subject contains 25 questions, every question carry two marks for the right answer and 1/4th mark punished for each wrong question.

The SSC CHSL Tier-II examination will be based on offline mode exam (Pen and Paper mode) that will be a descriptive type exam. The candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the Tier-I examination SSC will only be called for the Tier-II exam. The Combined Higher Secondary Level Tier-II exam carries One Hundred (100) marks. The duration of SSC CHSL Tier-II exam will be one hour (20 minutes time will be given to the candidates mentioned in Para 7 above). In The examination of SSC CGL Tier-II we have to write an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/Application of 150-200 words approx. The minimum marks of qualifying in Tier-II examination of SSC CHSL are 33 Per cent. The performance of CHSL Tier-II counts for preparing merit. The SSC CHSL Tier-II paper will have to written either in Hindi or in English languages.

The SSC CHSL Tier-III examination will be a Skill Test/Typing Test. The exam of Tier-III SSC CHSL Skill Test/Typing Test is a qualifying nature. The final merit of the successful candidates of SSC CHSL will be decided on the basis of total marks obtained by them in SSC CHSL Tier-I and Tier-II.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination Tier-I Answer Key

The Answer Key of SSC CHSL tier-I exam will be released by officially. The Answer Key of Combined Higher Secondary Level exam will be released within one month after the Tier-I examination. Candidate can check their (Combined Higher Secondary Level 10+2) Answer Key by filling date of examination, roll number and password on the official website. The Answer Key of SSC CHSL Tier-I examination will help to check their marks/scores.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (10+2) Result

The final result of Combined Higher Secondary Level will be available on SSC’s official website. The result of SSC CHSL will be declared after publishing the Final Cut-off CHSL exam. CHSL’s result will be declared in online mode. Candidate can check their result by filling the roll number and password. The result of SSC CHSL Tier-l will be declared online for Paper 1st and Paper 2nd separately. The marks of the qualified & non-qualified candidates with the details of their option, preference, mistakes in Skill Test etc. will be published on the website shortly.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination Cut Off

After Publishing the Result of SSC CHSL Tier-I, The Staff Selection Commission declared the Cut off of SSC CHSL Tier-I examination. SSC CHSL CutOff depends on the number of vacancies and marks of the candidates. The Cut-Off will be released Post & Category Wise.

 The Staff Selection Commission declared 41,326 candidates of CHSL qualified for Typing Test for the post of Lower Division Clerk, Court Clerk, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and 5,766 candidates qualified for Skill Test for the post of DEO in CAG and 344 candidates qualified for Skill Test for the post of DEO in Departments other than CAG.
